I can't speak for the Harley muffler, but I did install a Rifle windshield on my Savage, and I think it's great. I previously had a Maier, and it was too small to be of any use, other than cosmetic. They come in 14", 16", and 18" lengths above the headlight, for around $250(US). The 16-incher works well for my 5'8" frame, but if I were to do it again, I'd buy the 18" version and cut it down until it was perfect.
The quality of the Rifle shield is impecable. Nicely machined billet aluminum mounts, stainless steel screws and hardware, distorsion-free Lexan. It's strictly first class. Good luck!
